The Metricus Cost-Control Module includes 25 metrics that effectively help to control and improve IT expenditure. You can simply select the metrics that are most relevant to you and use these to build your own scorecard and dashboards and track performance.
 
Data
 

Cost-Control KPIs requires data from various sources and includes both information that is stored within service management systems, transactional systems as well as data that not always is stored in a database.

Metricus provides predefined templates (Excel) called 'Easy Data Templates(r)'. These templates indicate the fields and columns required for populating selected KPIs. Your DBA or process manager can simply publish data from any relational database (so from telephony systems, service management tools, ERP systems) into this template. Templates are uploaded via a secure FTP connection to Metricus and Metricus automatically converts your data into decision making information.

The process can be automated completely ensuring you always have access to the most recent performance information. Alternatively, there are two other data management options. The first includes the configuration of SQL extraction scripts that directly tap into your systems to collect data. The second is manual data entry, which is most relevant to qualitative KPIs.
